FreedomMod - Disable Mojang Server Blacklist Mod for Every Server

Mojang ships an official server blacklist inside the Minecraft client that can silently prevent you from joining servers. FreedomMod is a free, open-source Fabric mod that disables this blacklist entirely, so you can join any server you want - including self-hosted servers and anarchy servers - without exceptions or hardcoded whitelists.

  • Bypasses Mojang's server blocklist completely, for every server
  • Adds no servers to your server list and pings no third-party services
  • Free to use, MIT licensed and built for Fabric - no separate Fabric API installation needed

Current mod version: 1.0.1

How is FreedomMod different from AnarchyMod?

FreedomMod is a fork of AnarchyMod. While AnarchyMod only unblocks a fixed whitelist of anarchy servers, FreedomMod disables the Mojang server blacklist for every server. It also does not add any servers to your list and does not contact any third-party service. Looking for the original? Check out AnarchyMod.

What is FreedomMod?

FreedomMod is a free, open-source (MIT licensed) Fabric mod for Minecraft Java Edition. It disables the Mojang server blacklist in the Minecraft client entirely, so you can join any server you want, including self-hosted and anarchy servers, without any whitelist of approved servers.

How is FreedomMod different from AnarchyMod?

FreedomMod is a fork of AnarchyMod. AnarchyMod only unblocks a small, hardcoded list of anarchy servers and adds them to your server list. FreedomMod disables the blacklist completely for every server, adds no servers to your list and does not contact any third-party service or analytics endpoint.

Is FreedomMod safe to use?

FreedomMod is MIT licensed and fully open source. Anyone can review the complete source code, which is published on the Radicle network, to verify exactly what the mod does before installing it.

Which Minecraft versions does FreedomMod support?

FreedomMod supports Minecraft Java Edition versions from 1.9.4 up to the latest releases (26.x). Download the JAR file matching your launcher's Minecraft version from the table above.

Do I need Fabric API to use FreedomMod?

No. You only need the Fabric Loader installed for your Minecraft version. A separate Fabric API installation is not required.

Why does my Minecraft launcher block some servers?

Mojang maintains an official blocklist of servers inside the Minecraft client. If a server appears on that list, vanilla clients refuse to connect to it. FreedomMod removes this blocklist check, letting you decide for yourself which servers you join.
